Pre-loved? Just means 2nd hand!

Whilst the goods you buy in an antiques shop have been owned by someone else previously, we strongly believe that is a part of their charm & appeal.

The majority of antiques dealers take pride in learning about the past history of the items they have in stock, believing that each piece has its own unique story to tell. By owning a pre-loved item, you are adding to that story.

Generally accepted as having to be over 100 years old, antiques were created and crafted to last, to be passed down the generations, as some significant items still are today. It is only in todays 'throwaway' society that we have lost the tradition of passing things on, but antiques dealers are part of the process to resurrect this ages-old tradition.

So as well as helping to save the environment and honouring the craftsmen of years gone by, don't view buying something "pre-loved" as buying second hand - think of it as continuing the story for another generation of an item that has survived the tests of time
