This value varies according to your provider, but usually the individual amount is quite low - around £1500. At The Curious Cow, our experts will give you a "ball-park" figure of what we believe it would cost to replace any individual item like for like, giving you the choice to adjust your policy or insure that item separately. Selling on
Every antiques dealer has come across this scenario. You are left an item by a dear but distant relative, and it just doesn't suit your style. "Selling on" is the time-honoured way of disposing of this item, and retrieving some value from it. At The Curious Cow we will give you an honest & fair valuation of what we would pay you for your inheritance, without deliberately under-pricing in order to make a greater profit. We would rather make a small profit from lots of items than a huge profit from one or two.

Everyone occasionally wonders how much something might be worth. Did you make a wise investment when you bought that painting in a "thrift" store?
